Speak the truth out and set your intentions to be higher! Today is the best day. I am happy, healthy and grateful. I will be explaining goals vs. intentions.
Understanding the distinction is key to personal growth in 2026:
Goals are outcome-focused: They are specific, measurable targets like "lose 20 pounds" or "get a promotion".
Intentions are being-focused: They are guiding principles for you to achieve within your values, such as "be patient with myself" or "nurture my relationships".
Flexibility: I teach yoga for balance and flexibility and the same is true for life! While goals can feel like a "checklist" that leads to failure if missed, intentions act as your "compass," as life is not always fair. When allowing for life's inevitable detours, we can accept and forgive ourselves!
Micro-Steps: Break broad intentions into "anchor actions." If your intention is "connection," an anchor action might be "texting positive quotes to friends”.
Environmental Cues: Arrange your space to support your intentions. Fill a water bottle and keep visible if you intend to stay hydrated, or lay out workout clothes the night before.
Accountability: Share your 2026 intentions in a diary. If you have a circle, share to foster encouragement without the pressure of a deadline. If not, join community events to make friends
Keep moving and use your 24 hours a day to the most productive for you! Namaste,
Eileen ❤️🙏
