Gratitude Multiplies, Manifests and makes you Mindful

What Is Gratitude?

Robert Emmons, perhaps the world’s leading scientific expert on gratitude, argues that gratitude has two key components, which he describes in a Greater Good essay, “Why Gratitude Is Good.”

“First,” he writes, “it’s an affirmation of goodness. We affirm that there are good things in the world, gifts and benefits we’ve received.” I believe in the good of all until they prove me wrong!

In the second part of gratitude, he explains, “we recognize that the sources of this goodness are outside of ourselves. … We acknowledge that other people—or even higher powers, if you’re of a spiritual mindset—gave us many gifts, big and small, to help us achieve the goodness in our lives.”

Emmons and other researchers see the social dimension as being especially important to gratitude. “I see it as a relationship-strengthening emotion,“ writes Emmons, “because it requires us to see how we’ve been supported and affirmed by other people.”

Because gratitude encourages us not only to appreciate gifts but also to repay them (or pay them forward), the sociologist Georg Simmel called it “the moral memory of mankind.” This is how gratitude may have evolved: by strengthening bonds between members of the same species who mutually helped each other out. Shoutout to my friend's son who lost his life at 19 years young, "#FallForward" has become paying it forward and saving the planet by living green.

I write about gratitude because I am thankful as its the key of a full life. I have enough, and when  I am thankful for what I have, I end up with more! When I concentrate on what I don't have, it is never enough and old ugly friends like jealousy and depression rear their heads. I write about happiness and inner peace because I know sorrow and chaos very well. My new best friends are yoga, meditation, prayer, thanks, discovery, affirmations and positive algorithms of my life!


What will you do to make things better in 2018?

I had such an amazing year! I thought nothing could top it and then wrote my vision board for next year and beyond. In keepig with my experience teaching yoga to PTSD, trauma and survivors of abuse, I am most excited that God's will and my prayers to do good for others in need has manifested itself in being hired to teach Yoga to teens in drug recovery!!


What do you want to see change? What are your resoutions for yourself as well as others? I am starting the first week of 2018, naturally creating a blessing to others and hopefully toward their infinite possibilities and contributions to their lives. Yoga Week and Retreat

The Vortex

If you have any knowledge of Abraham Hicks you have been living in the vortex and law of attraction of the universe with me. Esther is a woman that has the "voice" of a man named Abraham, a sorta inner being that comes to her and speaks to her. 

The positive things that she says cannot be made up and vibrational interpreters receive the energy that they call from the universe. In other words, I attract the kind of person that I am being, not that I am. If I change the way I am responding and living, that kind of people are attracted and I repel the negative or not-good-for-me people in my life. I receive at many levels and the vortex begins to receive the best possible for me. Keep it simple, do not over analyze everything or even take it defensively if you are being too analytical and people say "stop" or "slow down" because that may be the universe giving whispers out loud.

Oprah Mag October and Me!

This article about me in the October issue of Oprah Magazine is highlighting my life purpose, intention and business. I have been teaching yoga and learned how to teach yoga for people with trauma or ptsd from a class geared towards Vets, Connected Warriors. Involved with Yoga Journal conventions, I met Deepak Chopra's private yoga teacher and we knew the universe was connecting us to further the mission of yoga for women who have been sexually and domestically violated.  Stress can do terrible things to a body.

According to the American Psychological Association, chronic stress occurs when you feel trapped by stress over extended periods of time, when there seems to be no solution in sight. Unlike acute stress, which you can quickly identify, chronic stress often goes undetected as you become accustomed to its familiarity, no matter how unpleasant it may be. Over time, it begins to wear you down, both physically and mentally.

Symptoms of stress include 

  • Headaches
  • Fatigue
  • Shortness of breath
  • Tense, aching muscles
  • Emotional distress such as anxiety, irritability, and depression
  • Feeling overwhelmed and out of control
  • Changes in appetite;

When experienced in the short term, these symptoms do little to affect your long-term health yet can a problem become when  a variation of symptoms over an extended period of time is experienced. Prolonged stress damages your immune system, making you more susceptible to illness, infection, and a host of serious health problems such as heart disease, cancer and illness.

Love and Prayer

This is the place where it all begins, happens and ends. You can find love where you are, afar or within, at any age. If you fall in love Day 1, you think it will only get better. Livin' on a prayer, it could however the food that feeds love is emotion, trust, loyalty, understanding, forgiveness and unconditional acceptance. 

Experience teaches the world is a tough place especially along and being with a partner can even be tougher yet we feel born to have a lover, best firend, and the-one-who-has-your-back. At the same time, being afraid of getting hurt will manifest the exact thing you fear which is "the law of the universe",  claimed Oprah Winfrey. According to Dr. Deepak Chopra, "the universe has consciousness that we are affected by and all of us are one." I believe that if you pray to your inner source or God, I believe it is and choose to let his will be done, you will be blessed with miracles. Have faith, find and keep the love for your family, friends and community. Have a heart that  shines like a diamond. 

Avoid cholesterol?

it is not comfortable when you sit in a "gown" open on every corner, and the Dr. walks in to examine you. We have designer everything and still have not "designed" a decent "paper" dress. I have to work on this...but first, my cholesterol needs attention, or does it?

What's worse is the after meeting in his/her office to discuss the EKG, cholesterol, and blood test results! "You have high cholesterol and need a stress test" (I have enough stress, thank you). What is cholesterol? It's a fat your body needs to form hormones, cells and carry lipoproteins, LDL and HDL, low density and high density.

If it blocks your heart flow, forms plaque and can cause a heart attack, "they" want you take meds. I take vitamins including Red Yeast Rice which works the same way. Eat more fruit, veggies, whole grains and less meat, cheese, eggs and processed foods. To lower high cholesterol you can eat more of the following and exercise regularly, especially a Yoga class now and then (hmm, every day?) washed down with at least 64 ounces of water per day. Yet, get checked. Be pro-active with your own health and it will influence those around you.

Bite the Bitcoin and Bullet!

It was a normal day. Watch TV, read email, surf...wait! I was surfing the internet not the ocean, although that's more fun. I had to know what bitcoin was. Crypto currency? The only crypto most folks know is Superman's power. The new Superpower is Bitcoin, or the "fake" currency that transmits when you purchase on the internet which is as layman as possible. AKA: 

a system of open source peer-to-peer software for the creation and exchange of (payment in) a certain type of cryptocurrency; the first such system to be fully

the cryptocurrency created and exchanged using this software.

I bit the coin, or bullet, and purchased Bitcoin stock using software in exchange for my bank cash or for their shares, on paper or internet platform, to make money, to the tune of 120% profit!  I never touched or could see only virtually. I was thrilled until I realized all of this was on paper and even if you have the cash in your hands it's almost worthless tomorrow as the world goes Bitcoin Bonkers. 

By the way, I wouldn't buy it today due to a 100% increase in price and overvalued stock. This revolution has exploded and you will have to wait to play this game, virtually. The point is, you can still learn and research about Bitcoins and pull the trigger when the time is right, with the perfect opportunity and preparation, you will be ready!

Spots, dots and cookies - AI

We all know that "cookies" albeit better with milk are the marketing targets of the internet.

Spots and dots are nicknames for companies searching for your keyword search. I feel like that dot in the world while working for a bigger cause, philanthropy for any organization, tree, or air purification you choose. Even if I leave one dot on the world when I become part of the universe, I will know my wings were spread wide to hopefully leave spots everywhere. Influencing others to empower survivors of war, domestic abuse, sexual violation and drug rehab has become my passion. Happiness for me is knowing that I am using my gifts from God to fulfill my passion.


So spot, dot and leave your mark anywhere you choose. When I earn my angel wings, I will send a butterfly or bird to tell you I've been Now enjoy your milk and cookies!!!

What is Yoga? What is trauma Yoga? 

According to yogic wisdom and practice, the human heart holds the key to awakening greater, more expanded levels of energy, accessing our third eye or wisdom, deeper soul and experiencing inner peace. 

Yoga is taught as mainly a physical practice with the main importance on bodily postures, strength and flexibility. Like a branch is part of a tree, the physical aspect of yoga, or asana, is one branch of the great tree and eight limbs of yoga.

Though well over 5,000 years old, yoga has incredible relevance today. It’s practiced all around the world by people from all walks of life and is a major force in shaping the emerging consciousness on the planet. 

The true, deeper yoga is a path for body, mind and soul. It transcends differences and s the technology of awakening the heart, the space of pure consciousness within us; you experience our connection to source and the unity of all things.

Yoga for trauma or PTSD, Post Traumatic Stress, is gentler and empowering to reduce or eliminate the feeling of anxiety. Additional training is needed to certified Yoga Teachers in order to postively effect students that experience stress, anxiety or fear of moving forward and want to let go of the traumatic memories of the past.
